| Yes, I'll be old this weekend, so I feel the need to give back to all you youngins ((except for Dave because he's almost as old as me)) some things I have learned over the past 40 years.
1. Never ever use a gas station bathroom 
2. Men don't like to ask for directions.
3. Cats consider us slaves not owners.
4. Staying awake all night is fun when you are younger than 25, when you are over, it's called insomnia.
5. Laugh lines are nver funny. 
6. Don't eat yellow snow.
7. Apparently Americans need more fiber, Viagra, and Proactive. That means we are all either constipated, impotent, and pimply. 
8. The memory is the first thing to go.

10. People enjoy giving children toys that are loud an obnoxious.
11. A garden is a wonderful thing.
12. Children keep us humble and are more truthful than adults.
13. Reading a favorite book is a great way to spend a day.
14. Don't EVER EVER call Kris cute.
15. Dave can take being teased better than anyone I know.
16. 8 people is the limit for an Xterra.
17. Feral cats are stupid. 
18. Mailmen are cool.
19. Chocolate is an addictive substance. 
20. There is almost always a soccer game on TV. 
21. Summer vacations are always too short.
22. San Diego is too damn hot.
23. It's not a trip to the grocery store without my kids fighting in the store.
24. Sleeping in is impossible after you have kids.
25. Mario Kart wii rocks!
26. I still enjoy the music I liked when I was in high school. 
27. Frasier re-runs are still the best!
28. Chihuahuas are psychotic
29. Talking to your cat may seem strange, but sometimes, the cat will meow back= yes she does it!
30. You are never too old for good pizza.
31. Cleaning the bathroom is never fun.
32. It's not wrong to wish hemorroids on spammers.
33. We pay way too much in San Diego for gas.
34. The quality of a person should not be judged by what they wear or drive.
35. Going to bed early is not a bad thing.
36. The more work that goes into a meal, the less likely a small child will like it.
37. The 4 sweetest words in the world are "I love you mommy".
38. Being married to your best friend is wonderful.
39. Girl Scout cookies are addictive.
40. My message board friends are wonderful!

| Fuscia, I just looked up your birthday and we're only 9 days apart. (Ha ha, you're older.) I'll work on my own list for 40, I guess it's time to take stock huh? (I just don't FEEL old!)

| Yeah! Another July baby.
Kris, I don't think Dave could have endured one other person in the truck. I do think that Grant, Karla and I could have put someone small across our laps. Hell, your windows would have been cleaner if we had one there.

| Yeah! I couldn't believe all the stuff on my windows. But, I couldn't clean that back one, for a few weeks. I was able to just look at it and laugh.

| Dave is physically only a few months younger. Mentally I think he stopped many, many years ago.

| Salt has aged me tis true, but the beer is what has made me decrepit. 
Me and Sandy are mailing you a super small el cheapo birthday present, should go out tomorrow. We got less than 5 dollars in the whole deal, including the stamps, so don't get too excited. It's the thought that counts!
