With Wrestlemania coming upon us the time once again draws near to the WWE's annual Hall of Fame inductation ceremony. No names have been announced as of yet but there is speculation as to who will be inducted this year.

Stu Hart, father of Bret "the Hitman" and Owen Hart, could be one of those iducted and Owen Hart, as usual, is in the main pick to be inducted (it has been over ten years since his tragic death and he still isn't in the hall of fame).

The most likely inductee this year however is Japanese Wrestling Legend and one time WWF/E World Heavyweight Champion Antonio Inoki with internet rumours rampant that he will be inducted this year.

Also rumoured to be inducted this year is Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson with him having expressed an interested in returning to host RAW so long as it was a night of "Attitdue Era" programming. If he is inducted this year he will be the headliner of the event.

Pressure is also rumoured to be on Vince McMahon to allow Randy Savage to be inducted this year but with his known animosity towards the Macho Man it is still highly unlikely that this will happen.

The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase is also a front-runner for inductation and with his son Ted Jnr being a big part of the WWE programming at the moment it is a better bet than Savage.

The Legion of Doom, Road Warrior's Hawk and Animal are also being consider, if interenet rumours are to be believe, along side one of their biggest WWF/E rivals Demolition, Ax and Smash.

If Sting were to leave TNA then even if he didn't join the WWE Vince would jump at the chance to have him in the Hall of Fame. Vince has made no secret of the fact that he has admired Sting since the 80's and longed to have him join his company so whenever he's available, and if he'll agree, he'll be the first name on the list for inductations.

Ron Simmons is in with an outside shot, so if former WWF/E manager Slick. Also amung the outside bets are the Ultimate Warrior, Lex Luger and the Honky Tonk Man, King Kong Bundy, Jake "the Snake" Roberts (who recently announced his retirement and is on his last tour) and possibly Vader but Vader is a very, very long shot.

Jake the snake should have been inducted a long time ago along with the Million dollar man he is the best in ring performer never to have been champion and while he has had his problems he seems to be battling them, when you thin about it Jake Roberts taught the Undertaker everything he knows about presence in and out of the ring even the Undertaker has admitted that in the past, for that alone he should be inducted. Not that I am a Jake the snake fan or anything

Jake was heavilly influential there is no doubt. Unless I'm remebering wrong, the Undertaker, Stone Cold, Raven and DDP all credit Jake with teaching them about ring psychology and psychology in general and, when looking back at his glory days, there is no doubt that he was one of the best wrestlers in the history of the business. Jake never held a world title, he never held a WWF/E or WCW title at any level and yet he was one of the biggest stars of the 1980's.

There were two times in the WWF/E when Jake was due to get a push to the main-event.

The first time was during Hulkamania's first run. Vince wanted Jake to be the heel to Hogan's face and to judge how this would get over they did a series of house shows where they were pitted against each other but the reaction from the crowd was totally wrong for McMahon's plan becuase the crowd was cheering for Jake and booing Hogan, so the push was scrapped because it wasn't god business to have the top, marketable face get booed.

The second time was during the Ultimate Warrior/Undertaker feud when Jake had been involved in a series or vignettes and promos with the Warrior apparently trying to teach him about the Undertaker's darkness but in the end it turned out Jake had tricked the Warrior all along and was working for the Undertaker. Once the Undertaker and the Warrior's feud was over Jake was to feud with the Warrior but the Warrior tried to hold Vince to ransom at the PPV (saying he wouldn't work if the money didn't go up) and when Vince refused the Warrior did one more match then walked out on the WWF/E and Jake's push was scarpered. He went on to have a very good feud with the Undertaker but Jake never got the push he was due.

Had Jake been World Champion in either the WWF/E or WCW he would have been one of the greatest champions of all time but because he never had any advocates prepared to fight for him to get a push he was forced to dominate the mid-card instead. His personal problems were obviously a factor but his greatness should be recognized and it about time the WWF/E officially recognized it.

The same is true of the Million Dollar Man. A few year back the WWE resurrected the Million Dollar Man gimmick with Bradshaw and repackaged him JBL. JBL was the poor man's Ted DiBiase. He had no where near the talent on the mike or in the ring that Ted did but playing a Million Dollar Man character he proved to be one of the most successful World Champions in the WWF/E's history. If Ted had gotten that chance he too would have been one of the greatest World Champions ever.

In Jake the Snake and Ted DiBiase you have two of the greatest wrestlers, performers, characters, talkers and thinkers in wrestling history and if they dont get in the WWF/E Hall of Fame at some point then that Hall of Fame will be worthless.

I can see Sting being in the HOF. Since he owns WCW now, which is all Sting for many years, it would be a no-brainer.

The list mentioned above sounds right.

I don't see how you don't induct Macho Man. The guy is a legend.

If you are going to set up a legit HOF, you can't let personal bullshit get in the way.

Then it becomes "The Hall-Of-Fame of those who kiss Vince McMahon's ass". And we already know that as the WWE.
