That would have been better than the entire movie.

What poop.

I mean, if poop could actually take a poop, this movie would be it. Poop of poop.

Last movie I saw was The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. It was alright, but definitely not spectacular in any way. Acting was good all round, but that doesn't make a movie, really.

I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

Get Smart.

I loved it. I used to love the show and I thought they did a great job with the movie. I don't remember 99 being such a hard ass, but she was still good. So many random hilarious moments! haha, i'm still laughing about some.

I can't wait to see Get Smart.

99 was kind of a hard ass, but probably not to the extent they'll definitely make her out to be in the movie (that's what they do with movies, pair bumbling folks up with the straight, hard assed types). Originally she was more of a professional than anything else. I think at some points in the show she was a bit like "oh Max, what're we to do?"

Oh, that reminds me. Saw the movie Hot Fuzz recently. Freakin' best movie ever! EVER.

Okay, maybe not quite... but it's undeniably awesome.

Be Kind Rewind.

Pretty dumb, if you ask me. 5/10, bordering on a 4... but it's a 5 because the urge to switch it off wasn't too strong.

I didn't get it. Wasn't it supposed to be funny, was it supposed to be endearing? It was neather. Can't see myself ever watching it again.

The only redeaming feature was the sweaded movies. They were pretty cool. If they'd done a montage like the one in the middle of the movie (when they're sweeding all those movies), and it had lasted an hour and a half... that would have been a better movie.

There was actually one funny scene, but the rest of the movie was so bad I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

I just read that the Be Kind Rewind Writer/Director is the same as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - another movie that I pretty seriously disliked.

I watched Superhero Movie last night. Though it was incredibly dumb, there were a couple of moments that I did laugh at. I don't want to give it a higher score than Be Kind Rewind, but I will give it a 5/10 (for comparison, Airplane gets a 9/10, Scary Movie gets 6/10, Scary Movie 2 gets 3/10).

Cassandra's Dream.
It may be the only woody allen movie (that i've seen) that i don't like very much. Colin Farrell was really good though. He played the weakling brother and I was pretty impressed actually. And I love Tom Wilkinson. Ewan McGregor played himself it seems.
I say C+

Cleaner.
I hate Samuel L. Jackson. But I heart Ed Harris. Funny enough SLJ was good and not that over the top, but EH stunk. The movie was interesting up until the plot unravels. then I just rolled my eyes and tried to get through the rest of the predictable poop.
I say D.

Since it's summer time, and I currently don't have a job, I joined back up with Blockbuster dvd club. I have three movies on their way:

Ladies in Lavender (with Judi Densch and Maggie Smith)

The Bucket List

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (thanks to Karla's review on it)

Try Cassandra's dream, lemme know what you think. Like I said, some of the performances are good, so it might be better for you. I think my expectations were too high.

And I LOVED Diving Bell, I hope you do too Kris. It's a beautiful and tragic story.
