PostSubject: Saw IV   Mon Oct 29, 2007 11:41 pm

Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

Did well at the box office, taking in 30-something million. These movies tend to only have about a 10 million or so budget, so they're doing well.

I saw it last night and it was SO good! It does a lot of backstory to help explain things, and the traps are gooooood. My favorite trap will always be the guy with the safe and the candle and the flammable jelly from the first movie.

Can't wait to see this, but I'm going to watch a good quality version of III before I do. So I know what's going on. I kind of get what happened at the end of III, but I'm still a bit hazy on the middle.

I won't see these movies. But, last night I was on wikipedia, and I read some really great summaries on all four of the movies. AND, it looks like they will be making a 5th AND 6th Saw.

Yeah, the fifth and sixth saws are gonna be coming. I guess as long as they can make money off them. Seriously, if they treat it as a TV series it could be alright (I mean, if it has true continuity and they plan cool stuff a movie or two in advance).

I read that they spent very little to film these movies, and have raked in the dough on them all. Amazing.

You can tell that the first one was very low budget, but it was still totally amazing.

They had Carey Elwes in the first one though, so I'd think that'd cost 'em a bit. Though he's realistically not the biggest star in the world or anything. I don't know.

lol, amazing. He wasn't wearing a disguise or anything.

Hmm... but the movie is quite dark. It'd probably be easy to miss.

I think it was the voice the threw me off, because Lawrence isn't British and any role I've ever seen Carey Elwes in, he's used his real accent.

I heard the first one was good. I'm not a big horror film fan though. With any horror sequel though they tend to get worse as they go on.

You gotta see at least Saw and Saw II. They were probably equally as good as one another and will definitely go down as classic horror movies. I still haven't decided on III and IV, though.

I didn't like 3 as much as the first two but four was good. I'm still a bit confused on the ending though

Mmmm, Saw V comes out in a few days... I can not wait to see this one.

I want to see it opening night, but my RA roommate is giving us a break for Halloween and leaving town that weekend, and I don't know if Saw would be as good if I'm drunk in the theater

Saw V is almost out? I had no idea. I might rewatch 1 to 4 just so I can get an idea of what the hell went on.

My brother raved about each one of these when they came out in theaters and last October I finally gathered up the nerve to watch the first two. I was staring at the screen with my mouth open by the end of the first one and I have now seen all of them so far. I thought they were all quite good really.
