I came back because I got out my old laptop and saw the inrejects tab on my internet favorites section. Nostalgia for the most part, I guess, after I saw that.

He's 18 and has long hair! He is into guitar playing and grunge music. He was in the grocery store and a priest asked him where the yogurt was. Damon told him, and he said "thank you stoner Jesus." Suspect Yep, I love that story. My baby is all grown up. Crazy.

He was a little kid when I came out to visit. Is he into that old time grunge like Nirvana, etc. or new stuff?

Days of Our Lives is good right now. Thank God for DVR. I used to have to take my lunch break late and watch the first half of the episode. Now I can watch the whole thing.

Is survivor still on? I thought that was gone years ago. I might check it out. I canceled the cable and only have CBS with my antenna.

PostSubject: Re: Off Topic   Tue Dec 12, 2017 8:20 pm

I decided that it's time to break away from the family a bit with Christmas. I've been wanting to do it for years, but now that I'm engaged I decided that it was a good time. I'm going to visit my parents on Christmas Eve and visit my grandfolks the Saturday before Christmas, but Christmas Day will be just me and my man. Hopefully some day with will be our own family and will spend the day with the kids.

NO MORE with the hectic extended family Christmas; with all the aunts and uncles, cousins, great-aunt, and skyping with my aunt in Germany. It's just too much bickering and sniping, too many people crowded into hot rooms without chairs for everyone, and just too much high-pitched screaming from the little kids who for some reason would rather play in the kitchen than outside. The gift giving gets too loud because it's a free-for-all and people are shouting over each other to say thank you.

I told the family months ago that I want to make this change, but not everyone knew. The aunt who is hosting the gathering this year asked me about it, and I explained about the gatherings being too crowded (didn't get into the bickering), and she gave me a look like I had plotted this as a direct insult to her.

Thank you!! Very Happy We met through work. We worked together for a year and a half before we started dating, but everyone at work assumed we were together for that whole time because of how well we got along. I got called into HR and told that I can't date him (I was his lead at the time), but we hadn't so much as kissed by that time. So when we did start dating it had to be hush-hush and on the down low. He's at a different company now so we can be open, but I keep wondering if I'll get the side-eye from the people in HR.

No one likes the HR people at work. They are the wife and daughter of the CEO. They don't know how to do their jobs so if you have a question about your time card you have to ask accounting. They take a lot of family vacations and their hours are something like 9-12 (everyone else works 5am-3:30). Now the daughter is married and moved, but she's still HR and works from home.

If you have a complaint, good luck.
