Mmmmmm.... rum....

We just finished shopping for all the Thanksgiving goodies!! I'm so excited!! It snowed here last night but we have fair weather the rest of the week so my parents ARE coming on Wed. I'm thinking this will be a successful first Thanksgiving in the new house.

It was awesome!!! The dinner turned out perfect, thanks to some help from my mom. We had honey and citrus glazed chicken, stuffing, green bean casserole, steamed cauliflower, cranberry jello salad stuff, and pumpkin pie. I STILL have a little bit of leftovers in the fridge. How was your Thanksgiving?

I had three Thanksgiving meals this year. One with my Dad's extended family, one with my Mom's, and one just with my parents and brother. The big family ones are so hectic and there's always some tension between family members that don't really get along, so the small family dinner at my parents' house was my favorite. We each had a Cornish game hen to ourselves to be like an itty bitty turkey. We played Boggle, too, and it was a close game. I was tied for first place and just had to go one more round to break the tie. I ended up in last place, but between myself and the lead it was only a five-point difference.

I was stuck on stupid light duty work because of my carpal tunnel, and the hours kept me from getting to the library before it closed. Now I've been cleared by the doctor, so I'm back on unemployment, but at least I can get online again.

It's okay, I'm not unemployed anymore! At least, not for much longer. I start my new job on Monday the 27th. I'm going to be soldering circuit boards.

Yes, I pop in every now and then to share my thoughts - excuse me, its that bloody pop up again - but I think the others mainly go to facebook or twitter or whatever. I dont use either so I'm just guessing on that front.

I like Facebook but don't post all that much on it. I just read what other people post and private message people. I don't get on the computer as much anymore but really don't want this site to die so will keep posting when I remember.

Checking in to say hi to everybody--glad this is still alive and mildly kicking. I thought I posted a few months ago, but apparently it was like a year, which means I suck at time. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I've been busy with work and the boyfriend. I've been getting lots of overtime for the past month or so to pay for some football tickets for Matt. I don't care about football but he goes ape shit for it, so since his favorite team is the Seahawks and they just won the Superbowl, I figure that tickets will be a nice treat. Soooo expensive. I know that the recent Superbowl victor increases the price, but why does football cost so much more than other sports? I could take us to a baseball game for much less.

Bahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

So I've finally jumped on the Dr. Who bandwagon. Now granted, I'm a bratty child of the twenty first century and I tried watching a classic episode. I didn't like it. But I do LOVE the new series!! I've already finished the first season and I'm working on season 2.

I cant say I've seen too many of the classic Who episodes but there are somes I've seen and liked, and some of the Doctors which I liked as well - particularly the 4th and 7th, also the Night of the Doctor mini-episode for the 50th aniversary made me really want to know more about the 8th. My sister is a big fan of the classic stuff and hates the new stuff, but because of her I've always been kind of familiar with the series anyway.

I plan to buy the first War Doctor novel when its released later this year.

An idiot at work tried to tell me that "change is good".

He has zero idea about what kind of change is good or if it is needed.

I would like to put my fist in his mouth and give him a paradigm shift.

Twisted Evil yeah, cruel thoughts, but Whidden is anti violent and would never hurt anyone , even if given full Superman abilities. Just hard to put up with really dumb people who want to change something that works, and back it up with Lean propaganda.
