PostSubject: It made me cry like a girl...   Sat Apr 18, 2009 10:09 am

Sorry if this has been posted already, I havn't been on in a couple weeks, might have missed the thread.

Aight, this is that old lady (47) that sings over on the Britains got Talent show. It's been sweeping youtube, and making news headlines all over google. I watched it yesterday, and started crying like a chick spilling her guts on Oprah. Or one of the biggest losers when they have to vote someone off.

Can't explain it.

I am curious as to what you all think, if you have seen it yet, or watch the video now.

I know people want to watch it, it's all over the news and a youtube wunderchild of a video, but does it make you want to tear up like it did me, or it is just cool, or whatever?

Link here: she shows up on the show, they treat her like a idiot more or less, then she belts it out and they freak out on how good she is.

Let me just say, I never cry. NEVER.

Just a few times in my life. I get emotional of course, but I don't cry with tears hardly ever.

I don't know if it was the tune, or her voice or what, but it was instant tears, then I couldn't talk for like ten minutes without my voice breaking.

That's some Oprah power going on right there.

definitely didn't make me cry.

I laughed when I saw Simon's face when she started singing.

I saw this yesterday. My boss told everyone to stop what they were doing and come look at this. Goofy.

I watched it the other night and she's better than she looks like she is going to be but didn't make me cry. Maybe it was all those year of emotional build up Dave. You just couldn't handle anymore.

Britains Got Talent is an amazing source of great singers.

I got teary as well watching Susan Boyle, but it wasn't to Paul Potts standards IMO. Plus now she's been everywhere and I feel like I have seen too much of her.

Paul Potts:
First Audition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woAUSJpHHuI
Final: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hIq_GGi1n4&feature=related
Gives me so much goosebumps it almost makes my nipples hard

Another great vid from this years' Britains got talent: 12 year old with amazing voice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BimzECskb9U&feature=related

Plus this absolutely amazing 6 year old from last season:
First Audition:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWNoiVrJDsE
Final: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cnRXmMn2Ag&feature=related
She made me cry and goose bumps and everything. Just amazing.

Whizzle, was wondering were you'v been. Was gonna e-mail you and cuss like a sailor.

Actually just got off the toilet and read a blurb about this lady in Entertainment Weekly.

Cool video. Lady has pipes. I thought there was more to the story though, like she was a retard. Didn't cry or anything. But then again, I am not a merry.

So Simon Cowell created Britian's Got Talent and America's Got Talent? Cool. Guess American Idol prevents him from starring on America's Got Talent. Piers Morgan rules though. I like angry British folks. Gordon Ramsay is the shit.

And Wheezy, dope avatar. Cannot wait for the new Trek. Saw this clip of Bones meeting Kirk. Classic. This guy playing McCoy has completely nailed DeForest Kelly.

Bring this movie now.

I too like Gordon Ramsey.

Dave, welcome back. I though the trama of a day with us sent you into hiding. I didn't cry, but I was really touched. We must not say 47 is old! That is only six years away for a few of us. 50 is old now.

If she would have whipped out a joint and smoked it while singing, I think you would have teared up. YES.

I think it's beer withdrawal. I'm finding all kind of emotions that the alcohol had laid dormat.

I, uh, am in geek overload. This movie looks so cool. It's the best thing to happen to Star Trek in 20 years. I bet you cry like a Merry when you see it.

She looked around 60 to me, but they did a makeover on her, she looks younger now.

They been showing her a lot on the local news, and entertainment shows. I wonder if it's true she has never been kissed.

I don't know if I buy that or not...

Wasn't that Asian kid from American Idol everywhere for a while?

Hopefully this old lady cashes in while she can.

I will openly cry at Star Trek.

I may camp out like a moron nerd, and try the vulcan nerve pinch on hot chicks.

Haha, didn't know she was a virgin. Nothing like television to bring out some weird ass stuff.

Trip out that this lady is making news out here.

America's Got Talent is a pretty big show, but it's also on in the summer. American Idol is still the highest rated mess ever.

Looks like not only there is a midnight showing, but a 7pm showing the day before. I am there. Going with a bunch of people to the IMAX. Prepare for the mind to be blown.

There are these countdown comics set in the TNG era that lead up to the movie. I have the first few. Dopeness.
