These are the movies from 2015 which I saw either in the cinema or else at home ranked from bests to worse - for lack of a better term.

Kingsman:The Secret Service

Saw this only this week, really enjoyed it. It's a great over-the-top spy thriller, brilliantly shot and a hell of a lot of fun.

Inside Out

A fun trip into the world of emotions and memories. Funny, touching and, fittingly, emotional. Well worth a watch

The Little Prince

I'd never heard of this story before but its based on a book by a French author and the movie took liberties, but its a very good and charming film.

Ant-Man

This was the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movie of the year for me. It's quite a paint-by-numbers story but the action's great, the effects really good, the characters likable, the villian effective and the story well paced. It left a bigger impression on my than the Avengers film.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

I found Ultron and engaging and enjoyable villain, the action was great and the characters were good - though I enjoyed X-Men's Quicksilver more - but all in all a good movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

A good film, if a bit predictable. It did show that Disney and their team were able to make a Star Wars film and do it well. Definitely a step up from the prequels but not something I'm going to be raving about.

Mr Holmes

Sir Ian McKellan plays and elderly retired Sherlock Holmes trying to remember the details of the case that forced him to retire many year before. It's a relaxed kind of movie but very engaging.

Jurrasic World

Some good parts, some bad parts, largely saved by the climatic battle.

The Good Dinosaur

A decent kids film, beautiful to look at scenery wise, another paint-by-numbers story but not as well executed.

Shaun the Sheep

Odd for me to rank an Aardman film so low but I honestly cant remember much about it. It didn't leave much of an impression on me.

Fantastic Four

I remember thinking this was a bad film when the credits started rolling but months later I just cant remember it. It did nothing to change the perception that the Fantastic Four cant be adapted well for films.

Pixels

A Futurama episode plot made into a feature length movie starring Adam Sandler. It wasn't good. It wasn't even bad. It was forgettable.

I haven't see Mr. Holmes, The Good Dinosaur or Shaun The Sheep yet, but you're on point for most of the other movies. I loved Kingsmen, and probably like Jurassic World slightly more than you did (I can't quite tell).

Ant-Man rocked. So did Avengers, but it was more of the same. Which isn't a bad thing, it's a great movie, but it didn't exceed expectations like a lot of other movies did.

Fantastic Four was so damn painful, I was terribly disappointed. It wasn't even the Ultimate origin they displayed so much as it was a movie that just failed on every level. Too bad because I was rooting for the director. I'd put Pixels above it, to be honest...

Also this year was Mad Max: Fury Road. Proves that with the right amount of action you don't need much story. Very engaging.

Spectre was good. I place it above Skyfall and Quantum of Solace, but not as good as Casino Royale.

Jupiter Ascending
was a hot mess. Not for me.

I enjoy Terminator: Genisys although I have so many problems with the story and execution. I had fun and I guess that's what's important.

Pan wasn't as bad as I'd imagined. It wasn't a great movie, nor was it even a good movie. It was an okay movie. I didn't hate it.

Cinderella was cute.

Tomorrowland was a very nice movie, I thought. Box office numbers were painful but it was a good movie.

Peanuts Movie was painful. If you like Peanuts, it was on point but I've never really liked Peanuts. I did really like the animation and the parts with Snoopy and the Red Baron were great. Otherwise, pass.

Alright, if I were to rank the movies mentioned so far (that I've seen), it would look something like this...

Star Wars: Force Awakens
Antman
Kingsmen
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Spectre
Inside Out
Jurassic World
Mad Max: Fury Road
Tomorrowland
Cinderella
Terminator Genisys
The Little Prince
Pan
Peanuts Movie
Pixels
Jupiter Ascending
Fantastic Four
